Review of latest blog platform updates

7 months ago | Daily Stuff

Here is a tiny update on recent codings behind the scene to develop the program that deliver this blog to you ...

Over the past few months since working on transferring from PicoCMS to my own hand made attempt to build a Content Management System on Laravel and specially this summer putting everything together as product titled Interactive Books' Atelier, there has been lots of works behind the scene on how to deliver the blog.

As you may know, I'm not a fan of social media platforms –for more information look at Humane Internet– and so far I've been a bit disappointed and frustrated to raise the funding for Carnet, as of now, projects as small as these are not for my non-existing personal income, but still IBA's blog platform example tries to maintain a fair degree of relevance within new trends in web development.

So the new blog platform comes in the form of a Vuejs single page website, which basically means you don't need to refresh this webpage, your browser and our server take care of communicating with each other without each time rendering the whole page from scratch, which could be a positive user experience, but it comes with the down-side of using too much computing resources of your device ...

You can access the new platform under the uri /blog/ and the old platform under the uri /weblog/ ... as of the time of writing this blog post, there are still lots of minor updates necessary to bring the templates and functionalities to their initial state, but let us know what you think and which one do you prefer ... Do you even notice the difference?

PS. Thank you for your interest in following what I'm up to, I hope our works deserve your support ...
